Description

This book is designed to assist the teaching and learning of the Esan language from the elementary levels. It can assist in no small measure if the student is serious and passionate about learning the Esan language. It is written in such a way that even without any assistance, one can easily grasp the understanding of the language. It is designed as a workbook so as to ease understandings as the student or learner, is constantly tested in the courses of reading and writing as they master the rules easily.

The book will be useful for teaching in primary schools as well as for those who are passionate about learning the Esan language independently, irrespective of age. It is laced with countless pictures and the English language is sometimes used to aid in a speedy understanding as the student or learner is making a journey from the English language to the Esan language.

It is definitely a work that will change the students' orientations from the belief that learning the Esan language is difficult. It simplifies the learning and study of the language to the point, that every page is a new discovery. It is my hope and prayers that our language is preserved for posterity as very many local languages have gone extinct in the country today. And, to ensure that ours doesn't go that way; is the reason for the writing of this book. So, do yourself a lot of favor by ensuring that you pay a lot of attention, as you study the book till you can finally understand its contents deeply.

About the Edo State Digital Library

Edo State and its people are filled with rich history and dynamic cultures. The majority of the communities that inhabit the state use oral communication, as such much of the history is undocumented. And as the custodians of our oral history pass on, more history is lost. The Edo State Digital Library is dedicated to providing a space where Edo history, in all its forms - written, oral, pictorial, etc. can be preserved. The portal welcomes contributors.
